PHOTOGRAPHY
As a self taught wildlife photographer, I am proud to have received several awards over the past few years.
My awards include the Hamdan International Photography Awards (HIPA), Siena International Photography Awards (SIPA) the Tokyo International Photography Awards (TIFA).
My most recent award was as part of the International Photography Awards in Los Angeles where my owl portrait was selected as Best of Show during their worldwide exhibition.
Photography is my passion, living here in the French countryside presents endless photographic opportunities which I would love to share with you
We have 10 acres of land here at Le Coussol Haut which include woodland, meadow, scrubland and not forgetting the Lavander gardens all
all of which attract a varied and diverse amount of wildlife year round. For photographers it is the perfect location for those wanting to capture French nature at its best.
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS AND GUIDED WALKS
During your stay at Le Coussol Haut you may want to go out and explore with your camera. We can offer you use of our portable hides as well as bean bags and tripods if requested in advance. Lets face it these are the things which take up precious baggage space during your journey!
For the novice photographer or those who would like to have a go we are happy to guide you and share top tips on improving your photography skills.
New for 2023 is our nature trail through the woodland. The new will give you access to our private and unspoilt grounds. We are also delighted to have developed unique feeders throughout the area and not only do they provide food for the wildlife but also provide a perfect backdrop for one of a kind images.
New for 2023 - Astrophotography
Le coussol Haut is situated on a hill in the French countryside and at night the light pollution is zero. This is the time when the sky comes alive and for the avid star gazer there is no other sky like it. We can see galaxies, satellites and endless shooting stars and if your lucky enough to stay with us during a full moon all I can say its breathtaking and sometime our resident tawny owl will make an appearance.
